Old Town eliminated Acadian of Mount Desert 15-1 on the strength of a no-hitter by Jeff Kimball and Bangor West eliminated Brewer 8-5 in Penobscot County play in District 3 Little League action on Monday.
In Aroostook County action, Mars Hill eliminated Katahdin 7-2, while Machias defeated Calais 8-7 to win the championship of the Washington County division.
On Tuesday, Coastal of Blue Hill will travel to Millinocket in a winners’ bracket game. Bangor West will host Old Town, and Mars Hill will play Border of Monticello at Hodgdon for the Aroostook County championship.
All games are at 5:30 p.m.
In the District 3 Little League softball championship game, Talie Nelson tripled, doubled, singled twice and drove in 4 runs to help lead the Machias All-Stars to a 26-6 victory over Bangor. Machias will play the District 2 champion Wednesday at Belfast.
Old Town 15, Acadian 1
At K.C. Field in Old Town, Kimball pitched a no-hitter to earn his second win in the playoffs and lead Old Town to the victory.
For 2-1 Old Town, Kimball struck out 16 and walked 3. He also belted 2 solo homers and doubled. Bryan Goody hit a 2-run homer, a solo homer and a single. Matt Marquis doubled and singled and Jake Anderson had a pair of singles.
Matt Reed walked and scored on an overthrow at second base to score the only run for 1-2 Acadian.

At Bangor, Kevin Dunton won his second game of the playoffs with an 8-hitter and led Bangor West to the victory.
For 2-1 Bangor West, Mike Wilcox hit a triple and a double. Tim Patchel singled and doubled. Terry Bogan singled twice.
Donald Sawyer hit a solo homer and doubled for 1-2 Brewer. Scott Inman singled twice.

At Hodgdon, Mars Hill advanced thanks to the three-hit pitching of Mitchell Orser and the bat of Chad Boyd, who drove in two runs with a double and single.
Orser struck out seven Katahdin hitters in going the distance on the mound. In addition to Boyd, Matt Townsend sparked the Mars Hill plate attack by cracking a triple and two singles, driving in a run. Tony Clayton contributed a solo homer.
For Katahdin, which was eliminated, Chad Burpee slugged an RBI double. Jason Porter had two singles.

Machias 8, Calais 7
At Machias, Mike Lenfestey cranked a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 7-7 and Machias came back with a run in the seventh to beat Calais.
In the seventh, Mike Clark led off the inning with a bunt single, moved to second on a fielder’s choice, went to third on a passed ball, and scored the game-winning run on a suicide squeeze bunt by Alan Taylor.
For Machias, Lenfestey also hit a double, a single and 4 total RBIs. Mark McGuire doubled, singled and had 2 RBIs. Josh Look singled and doubled for an RBI.
For Calais, Josh DelMonaco singled twice and drove in 2 RBIs.

At Bucksport, Michelle Clark pitched a 9-hitter for the win. She also belted a 2-run homer, doubled and singled for Machias.
For 2-1 Machias, Sheri Pritchard belted a 3-run homer and singled.
Amanda Stevens hit a triple and a double for 1-2 Bangor. Angela Pooler and Jennifer Alvaredo each singled twice.
