A 19-year-old Bangor man was charged with several violations after an accident early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in Bangor.

Bangor police officer James Carr reported that Alfred Turner of Forest Avenue was on his way home from a party when he lost control of his 1974 Plymouth Barracuda and slammed into the ledges in the northbound lane between Hammond and Ohio streets.

Turner was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, operating a motor vehicle without a license and driving to endanger.

Carr reported that Turner was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center by ambulance, but EMMC officials said they had not treated him.

The car was demolished in the accident.

Deanie Shaw, 30, Eastern Avenue, Brewer, was arrested in Brewer and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license. —

Two vehicles parked at Eastern Maine Auto Auction on Pierce Road in Brewer were burglarized Sunday night. Police reported that both vehicles were unlocked and radios were stolen from them. —

Andrew Hewes, 29, and William Goode, 21, of 52 Mills St., Bangor, were arrested Sunday in Norumbega Park in Bangor and charged with disorderly conduct. Goode also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police reported that both men were swearing at people in the park. They were taken to Penobscot County Jail and were scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on July 31. —

A 30-year-old Brewer man was arrested after he allegedly hid in his estranged wife’s car while she drove from Hampden to Bangor.

Bangor police reported that William J. Cordoza, 30, 9 1/2 Howard Lane, got into his wife’s car in Hampden and hid until she got to Bangor. He then allegedly stole her diamond ring off her finger.

Cardoza was charged with violation of a protection order, violation of bail conditions, theft, assault and robbery. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on July 31. —

John Johnson, 21, 143 Broadway, was arrested by Bangor police and charged with disorderly conduct after a fight on Broadway. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on Aug. 6. —

Six people were arrested after a party on Ohio Street: David Harnish, 20, 334 Ohio St., was charged with furnishing liquor to a minor; Matthew McPherson, 19, 71 Broadway, Bangor, Jennifer Jordan, 19, Hampden, and a 17-year-old Hampden girl, were charged with criminal trespass; John Monroe, 20, Winterport, was charged with criminal trespass and theft; and William Harnish, 20, 246 Center St., Old Town, was charged with criminal trespass and two counts of assault. The five adults were taken to Penobscot County Jail and were scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on Aug. 6. —

Three flags were stolen from a flagpole at the Elks Club on Odlin Road in Bangor Sunday night. The flags, an American, state of Maine, and a P.O.W., were valued at $150.
