JONESPORT – The Washington Academy Raiders of East Machias erupted for 10 runs in the second inning and coasted to a 15-0 schoolboy baseball win over Jonesport-Beals.
Winning pitcher Derek Armstrong fanned seven and walked two while surrending just two hits over five innings.
Chad Fitzsimmons had two singles, a double, and two RBIs for the winners while John Francis had a solo home run and a single to lead a seven-hit attack.
For the Royals, 2-7, Mike King and Troy Alley both singled.

At Guilford, Eric Lundin drove in two runs with a homer and a single and Troy Chase knocked in a pair with a double and two singles to lead the Penquis Patriots of Milo past the Piscataquis Community High Pirates.
Ryan Crossman also had a pair of singles for the Patriots, now 4-7.
For the 6-5 Pirates, Jamie Oldfield had a two-run triple and a solo homer, Ryan Kittridge knocked in two with two doubles, and Brook Carleton, Brian Miles, and Nathan Foster each singled twice.

At East Corinth, Trevor Trask belted a 3-run homer in the second and singled to lead the host Red Devils over the Penobscot Valley Howlers of Howland.
John Allen had 3 singles and an RBI and Doug Williams doubled twice and knocked in 4 runs for the Red Devils. Toby Pineo added a single, a double and 2 RBI and Chris Trask singled twice and knocked in a run for 6-6 Central.
For the Howlers, now 2-10, Pat Nash, Jason Spencer, Craig Dube and Jay Neal all singled.

At Fort Fairfield, Jim Corriveau struck out 16 batters and pitched a 6-hitter to lead the Wisdom Pioneers of St. Agatha to the victory Monday.
For the 3-9 Pioneers, Corriveau hit a bases-loaded triple in the sixth to break open a close game. He also singled. Paul Nadeau added 2 singles and 2 RBIs.
For the 1-11 Tigers, V.J. Bernier had a double, a single and an RBI.
