Bangor police are investigating a possible case of credit card fraud. On Tuesday police received a report that a man purchased $171.15 worth of footwear at Thom McAn at the Bangor Mall. He charged the purchase to a credit card and employees later were notified that the card was reported stolen. It was reported that at 11:15 a.m. the same man purchased $1,497.77 worth of clothing from J. Riggins Inc. at the mall. They were also later notified by American Express that the card was reported stolen. At 11:45 a.m the same man reportedly tried to purchase $319.99 worth of clothing from the Gap, but when the employee checked the card she was told to hold the card. The man told the salesperson that he would go home and get some identification and return. The man reportedly never returned.

Jeffrey Knox, 22, 95 Park St., Orono, was summoned by Orono police and charged with operating a motor vehicle while his license was under suspension. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on May 14.

James Barrows, 40, Hampden, was arrested in Orono and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on May 21.

Robert McKay, 36, Bar Harbor, was summoned by Orono police and charged with theft after he allegedly took an Easter lily from Thriftway Market in Orono. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on May 14.

Suzanne Ezzy, 22, 102 North Main St., Orono, was arrested in Orono and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on May 14.

Philip Drew, 25, 11 Charles St., Milo, was summoned by Orono police and charged with operating a motor vehicle while his license was under suspension. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on May 14.

David Shaw, 27, RFD 1, Box 3, Houlton, was arrested in Bangor and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Police reported that Shaw was stopped after he drove the wrong way down a one-way street. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on May 15.
