ORONO – Police Chief Gary Duquette has announced two promotions.
Joshua Ewing has been promoted to captain, and Scott Lajoie now holds the rank of sergeant.
“Ewing is a seasoned professional who brings a high level of dedication and talent to this position, and Lajoie is a natural leader who will be a positive role model for those officers under his supervision,” Duquette said Monday in a news release.
Ewing has been with the Orono Police Department since 1999. Before being promoted, he served as a sergeant for about four years.
Lajoie started with the department in 2002.
