HAMPDEN – The Hampden Business Association will award its Business Person of the Year Award to Harold Bouchard, owner of H.O. Bouchard, Inc., at an award dinner at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 24, at the Spectacular Event Center at 395 Griffin Rd. in Bangor.

The Hampden Business Association is giving the award to thank Bouchard for his many contributions to Hampden over the years. Bouchard has been a frequent supporter of projects in the Hampden schools, fund raising efforts of the fire department and many other charitable organizations in town. Founded over 40 years ago, H.O. Bouchard, Inc., a trucking and forest products company, is considered a major taxpayer, supporting a substantial share of the cost of town services.

The keynote speaker of the award dinner will be David Flanagan, past CEO of Central Maine Power, who will speak on “Maine’s Economic Future.” The Hampden Business Association was founded in 1986 with the goal to promote and encourage Hampden businesses.
