Graduation ’96> Bangor Christian Schools

Principal Carroll Conley has announced that Kris Schroeher is valedictorian and Joanna Wilkes is salutatorian of the Bangor Christian School Class of 1996.

Schroeher, son of Dean and Kathy Schroeher of Glenburn, is a National Merit Scholar semi-finalist. He attended Drigio Boys State and was a Maine Youth Senate finalist. Schroeher was a member of the soccer, basketball and baseball teams. He plans to major in electrical engineering at GMI Engineering and Management Institute in Flint, Mich.

Wilkes, daughter of James and Karen Wilkes of Bangor, participated in the National Language Arts Olympiad and was a member of the student council and the chorus. A cheerleader, she was also on the track and soccer teams. She plans to major in psychology at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

Graduation will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 14, in the Bangor Baptist Church auditorium.
